Community is not a place, a building, or an entity; nor is it an online exchange or share. Community is both a feeling and a set of relationships among people, a shared identity. People form and maintain communities to meet common needs. Members of a community have a sense of trust, belonging, safety, and caring for each other. They have an individual and collective sense that they can, as part of that community, influence their environments and each other.  Support plays a key role in communities because it makes them effective and strengthens the sense of belonging that lead to shared values, enriching the lives of people.  WEXPO Our Community is a celebration of community. Visitors will gain firsthand insight into the diversity of community support groups available in Western Sydney, hear from expert speakers and experience our region's inaugural Community Support Awards.
