WESTERN Sydney is preparing to welcome the world when the inaugural Western Sydney Travel & Tourism Expo (WSTTE) arrives at the Coliseum Theatre, West HQ, on November 7-8, 2026.

Created by WEXPO and Community Broadcast Network (CBN), the two-day event will bring together tourism operators, destinations, attractions, accommodation providers and travel experts from across Australia and around the globe in what organisers describe as Western Sydney's flagship travel and tourism event.

The expo comes at a pivotal moment for the region, with the opening of Western Sydney International Airport and billions of dollars being invested in infrastructure, tourism and lifestyle development.

Home to more than 2.7 million residents and representing one of Australia's most culturally diverse populations, Western Sydney is rapidly emerging as a major consumer and visitor economy.

Event organisers say the region's growing influence makes it the ideal location for a travel and tourism showcase.

Visitors will have the opportunity to explore holiday destinations, discover travel trends, access exclusive offers and meet directly with tourism professionals.

The WSTTE will feature destination presentations, cultural performances, industry workshops, travel inspiration sessions and family-friendly attractions.

WSTTE is expected to attract between 3,000 + visitors across the weekend, including families, young professionals, seniors, multicultural communities, frequent travelers and tourism stakeholders.

The event will also explore key themes shaping the future of travel, including the impact of the Western Sydney Aerotropolis, smart travel technologies, changing tourism trends and the growth of the visitor economy.

“This event is about more than travel. It is a platform designed to inspire people to explore, celebrate Western Sydney's growing role as a global gateway and strengthen connections between communities, destinations and businesses,” said WEXPO’s Michael Walls.

“It’s an opportunity for attractions, venues and operators both within and outside of Western Sydney to reach its thriving populayioon.”

The Western Sydney Travel & Tourism Expo will be held at the Coliseum Theatre, West HQ, Rooty Hill on November 7 and 8, 2026. WEXPO connects the West

In terms of GDP, Western Sydney is half the size of Western Australia and bigger than Tasmania, Northern Territory and ACT combined. With 2.5 million people the region is the fastest growing population in Australia and the most diverse in terms of culture and age. It is home to 150,000 businesses and an unprecedented boom in development driven by the construction of Australia’s newest 24-hour airport.
